  1. Plein Air is defined by Paint Parkville as a painting done outside entirely on location.

  2. All paintings entered must be 2 dimensional and completed during the event dates, all traditional mediums accepted   (oils, watercolor, pastel and acrylic).

  3. Blank painting surfaces must be stamped prior to event at the Cathy Kline Art Gallery. 4. Artists may paint anywhere within the zones from the South side of the baseball fields to the Northern side of where 9 Hwy forks with Main Street.  From the East side of Park University to the West side of the Bluffs.  Subject matter may be anything within sight.  It does not need to lie within the zone, as long as the artist is within the boundaries.  Do not park in “no parking zones”.

  5. Each artist may enter up to three pieces in the plein air show at the Kline Gallery. Artwork must be suitably framed and wired for hanging.  The back of the painting must be marked with the artist’s name, title, area description, medium and price, with the stamp showing.   Complete the Submission Form and attach to the back of your painting(s).

  6. Artwork will be juried by Marty Coulter on October 16th at the Cathy Kline Art Gallry.  Artist Reception will follow with announcement of awards.  Unsold artwork will be on display at the Cathy Kline Art Gallery from Oct 17th through Nov 14th following the Wine, Spirits and Fine Art Show on Oct 17th.   All remaining artwork must be picked up by Nov. 20th from the Cathy Kline Art Gallery.

  7. Commission for all sales 40% - artist retains 60%.

  8. All artists will sign a Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, which states in part, that all paintings will become the property of the Paint Parkville auction.  Once a work of art has been entered into the competition, it must stay through to the end and be present at the sale/auction at the Cathy Kline Art Gallery.  There will be no exceptions.  if you love your piece of art and just cannot part with it, then either do not enter it or make arrangements to purchase your art at the final sale.

  9. Paint Parkville assumes no liability for the paintings; however we will make every effort to assure the security of the artwork once it arrives for the jury process.  Attention to protecting the frames will be uppermost in the minds of those handling the art.

  10. All artwork must be removed by the buyer or artist by November 20th.
